Sarah LaRose Kane is a Fine Artist and children's author/illustrator out of Kansas City, MO.
Her painting style is whimsical and vibrant in color. Often times she will use her fingers instead of a paintbrush. Her style is fast and impatient, which requires a fast drying acrylic medium. Many of the paintings in her gallery have been commissioned from admirers all throughout the United States. As of late, she has picked up a new mixed media style in which she uses many different materials, such as artificial flowers, fabrics, yarn, paint, etc, to create very whimsical and visually entertaining, textured pieces. You can view her gallery on Fine Art America.
Sarah’s writing career began in 2016. Being a mother of two, she developed a love for children's books and was inspired to combine her skills as an artist with her love of writing to become an author/illustrator. Her first children’s book, 'Nana's Royal Mess’, is a book made especially for Kansas City Royals fans. It can be found in several stores in the Kansas City area, including the Kauffman Stadium gift shop, Barnes and Noble at the Plaza, KD’s Books in Lee’s Summit, The Best of KC at Crown Center. It can also be conveniently found online on Amazon and several other sites. She is currently working on her second book, 'I'm a Girl, Hear my Roar’— A book that will inspire and empower girls. It will be published by the summer of 2018.
Her passion for creating doesn’t end there. Her next creative pursuit is to start a Sarah LaRose Kane home line based on her funky, whimsical style.
